About the Bazaar Barn
The Bazaar Barn is an “upscale resale” shopping experience, offering gently used home furnishings. Owned and operated by the Church of the Good Shepherd, the 10,000 square foot shopping center sells furniture, art and household items in styles ranging from antique to vintage to modern. All of our items are donated, and all proceeds go directly back to the Cashiers community in the form of Outreach Grants. In 2024, we gave more than 42 grants worth more than $343,000.
The Barn is open Friday and Saturdays from 10:00AM until 2:00PM or by appointment. We take donations Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Bazaar Barn, and we also offer pickups for larger donations. Please refer to the Donation section below for more information.

Bazaar Barn Donations
Donation Drop Offs and Pickups
You may drop off gently used furniture, mattresses (no kings), and other home furnishings at the Bazaar Barn Tuesdays through Saturdays. We no longer accept donations at the Church of Good Shepherd basement. If you need to schedule a pickup of larger items, please contact Skip Ryan, the Bazaar Barn manager, at (828) 226-2588. He will approve the donation and refer you to our mover. Please refer to the list of “Items Not Accepted” for more information.
To help offset the rising cost of donation pickup, we charge fees based on what is being donated. Our nominal fee for simple furniture pickup is $40; fees for inventories and larger moves are priced upon request. Reducing our labor and moving expenses increases how much we can give back to the community. Payment can be made in cash, by check payable to Church of Good Shepherd (“COGS”), or by credit card using the payment button below.
Items Not Accepted
We generally do not accept clothing, toys, electronics, appliances, exercise equipment, office supplies, paperback books, tools/hardware, and kitchen items. We are not responsible for disposal of perishable items and do not offer house cleaning.

Bazaar Barn Mattress Ministry
The Bazaar Barn has gently used mattresses available to anyone in need! Mattresses are available for pickup at the Barn free of charge, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Sizes available will vary.
If you have a gently used mattresses to donate, you may drop them off at the lower level of the Bazaar Barn on Tuesdays through Saturdays, or we can pick them up for a small $40 fee. Please contact us before drop-off, or to schedule a pick up.
